Repuestos
Crecí en un barrio ruidoso y caótico lleno de tiendas de repuestos apretadas; carros y mecánicos arreglando cosas por todas partes. El lugar tiene su propia estética y organización. La única razón para ir es arreglar el carro barato. A nadie le importa cómo se ve, porque en realidad no importa; es la función por encima de la forma. Este barrio tan particular influyó en mi concepto de belleza, perfección y autenticidad. Repuestos es una serie de dibujos y pinturas basados en elementos, formas, lugares y objetos que me rodearon al crecer y que me conectan con mis recuerdos.
REPUESTOS (SOLO)
I grew up in a noisy and chaotic neighborhood full of cramped spare parts shops; cars and mechanics fixing things everywhere. The place has its own aesthetic and organization. The only reason to go there is to get cars fixed cheap. No one cares how it looks, because it really doesn't matter; it's function over form. This unique neighborhood influenced my concept of beauty, perfection and authenticity. Repuestos is a series of drawings and paintings based on elements, shapes, places and objects that surrounded me when I was growing up and that connects me to my memories
